Candidate Ranking/Filter Service
In response to a recent extensive market research project that we have undertaken we are pleased to advise you of an exciting technical development at Marine-JOBS.co.uk that will save you time.
We have created a Candidate Ranking/Filter service, this is an easy-to-use yet sophisticated system that scores candidates based on their answers to a series of questions that you set. Its power is in its flexibility, allowing you to set-up questions that are specific to each vacancy.
Having agreed to enable this service on your vacancy advert, when submitting your job description we would also ask you to submit up to 2 veto questions. These are yes/no questions such as:
Q1. Do you have EU working entitlements? Yes/No
Q2. Are you resident in the UK? Yes/No
If the applicant answers no to either of these questions then they are politely advised that they do not have the necessary prerequisites to apply for this vacancy.
For those that do proceed beyond this point they will then be asked up to 3 questions set by you. These questions will be used to rank the applications that you receive. The selected answers to these questions will create a % ranking in terms of their suitability for the position.
Example questions and answers for a particular vacancy could be as follows:
How many years command experience do you have?
None
Less than 6 months
6 - 12 months
1 - 2 years
More than 2 years
What is the highest management position you have held ashore?Team Leader/Supervisor
Trainee Manager
Department Head
Executive Director
You would then assign a score of 1 through 5 to each of the answers to Q1. assigning 5 to the most desirable and 1 to the least, repeat this with Q2. assigning scores of 1 through 4 to each of the answers.
Depending on the candidates selected responses our system will calculate a rating % score for each of application. The candidates rating score will be included in the title of the email you receive which will allow you to make a quick assessment of the applicants suitability at a glance.
